Today is the official date of Jupiter’s transition from Leo to Virgo. I had been thinking of it much less formally and accepted that the past month up until about next month or so is the transition. I am preparing a new platform to continue these deliberate discussions and activism contributions. Stay in touch…
This Mandala was created by members of the Bloomfield House including my self. Thank you to the Bloomfield House. This Mandala has been activated. It represents peace, unity, and balance. Its dance activation represents an energetic expansion of the frequencies of peace and understanding. Thank you for understanding.
This month marks the one-year anniversary of my dance activism. It was last June that I was inspired by new energies that promoted the thought of activism. I had also met Garth Rennie, a local dance activist, so the two cooperative incidences sparked new life within me. I began approaching people in public and asked them if they would hold the camera as I danced and made the world a more free and happy place to be. Some said yes, others no. I am happy to be blessed with such great opportunities over the course of the last year. I have learned so much about movement, flow, and spirit. I wish to share these videos with the world. The formula is simple: freedom and movement caught on camera. Dance activism is a fusion of perspectives in a new era of time.
Over the course of the year my focus shifted from approaching people in the public to sharing this gift with my friends. This month I was able to deepen a connection with new and old friends through my dance activism. The following videos are the result. Please enjoy them and remember that happiness and freedom are integral in our human experience. Peace!
A big thank you to Krishna House Ypsilanti for making the Movement festival a better place to be! I enjoyed the festival this year more than any other year. When I saw the Krishna House performing, I realized the Universe had answered my wish. It was during last year’s festival that I had made a wish to dance before musicians performing on the street. A friend had reported it to me that a group of musicians were performing publicly and handing out copies of the Bhagavad Gita. So when I saw the Gita there among other books being given out by Krishna Consciousness, I thanked the Universe under my breath and began to dance. The next day I joined them again and talked to them about dance consciousness. I let my body do the speaking. Actions speak louder than words. Dance movements speak louder than sentences. Thanks to my new friends, we were able to create a video celebrating life and Universal Consciousness. Peace to my new brothers and sisters from the Krishna House Ypsilanti in Michigan!
I am dancing for the liberation of humanity. Liberation is an experience that takes place within each individual. For us to come together as an enlightened collective consciousness, each person must take charge of his or her own awakening. The Awakening process is a journey of harmonious unfolding and enjoyment. I find freedom in dancing and so I dance for freedom. You may find freedom elsewhere, such as writing poetry, drumming, taking walks, reading books, or anything. It could be anything! Keep doing that which frees you until all your world is free! That wherever Love guides you, go there. Go with the flow.
After a dance class at STAG, I caught up with Sketch who also had some free time on his hands. We rendezvoused at his nature-pad and talked about the connection of nature and humanity. It wasn’t long before we caught some of our ideas on film. It was a creative exploration.
